On September 18th, 2019, The Fresh Thyme Giving Tree Foundation Golf Classic is proud to support Mission 22 and Warriors Heart

Fresh Thyme Farmers Market will be hosting its fifth annual Golf Classic on September 18th, 2019, with proceeds from the Fresh Thyme Giving Tree Foundation benefiting Mission 22 and Warriors Heart. Mission 22, works to lessen the statistic that there are an average of 22 veteran suicides every day through programs, treatment and awareness. Warriors Heart, who offers treatment for veterans, military and first responders, works to serve and heal through treatment for various conditions and dependencies.

We hosted the biggest fundraising event in Fresh Thyme’s history last year. For our fourth year, we booked the entire Cog Hill Country Club and had over 500 attendees both play and volunteer. More importantly, we were able to generate a $500,000 donation that was split evenly between Mission 22 and Warriors Heart during the dinner ceremony. A highlight from this year’s event was that we got to hear from the people our donations have helped over the last four years. There is nothing more humbling than hearing directly from the source – this is why we continue to avidly support this year-after-year. As a company, we are very proud of the support we have been able to offer Mission 22 and Warriors Heart in both monetary donations from vendors, team members and customers, as well as building awareness through social media, in-store events and our Annual Golf Classic.

Mission 22 is comprised of Special Forces operators Magnus Johnson, Mike Kissel and Infantryman Brad Hubbard. Because of their personal battles with PTS (Post Traumatic Stress) and TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury), they have made it their mission to create groundbreaking treatment programs for veterans, enlist support through social impact projects and end veteran suicide in America.
